In a landmark development for Hindi education in North America, the International Hindi Association has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with three US universities to recognize IHA's Hindi Proficiency Certificates for academic credit.
The partnership universities — a major state university in Tennessee, a liberal arts college in Illinois, and a community college in California — will allow students who hold IHA's Level 3 (Advanced) Hindi Proficiency Certificate to receive up to 6 credit hours of Hindi language coursework credit.
This is a major milestone that validates IHA's rigorous language education programs and provides a tangible academic benefit for the thousands of students who participate in IHA's Hindi learning programs each year.
